Microsoft Teams can receive and display emails directly in a channel making it a great way to share your security alerts amongst your technical team as they come in. The connection requires very little setup and starts working immediatly. Simply follow these steps to make any channel the target for your Office Protect alerts.
- Create a new team in Teams if needed
- Create a new channel in this team if needed
- In the channel menu, click "Get email address"
4. Copy the email address (address you get in between the < >)
5. Paste this email address in the Monitor section > Settings > Add an email, and click "Save Settings"
You will now receive the Alerts and Digests through messages in this Teams channel. The content of the message will be the exact same as the one you receive by email.
